One of the Facebook groups I belong to recently had a competition. Just post our WIPs for the world to see and be entered into a draw to win a chart from your choice of three design companies:
Well, today I was notified that I'd won, and the design above is what I chose.
This is Apocalypse Princesses, from original art by Tess Fowler.
I've had my eye on this design for quite some time and to get it as a freebie is an absolute joy!
I've only ever won 3 things in my life.
A cuddly fish for writing a logo for toothpaste (I was kid! And, no, I can't remember the logo OR the toothpaste!).
A cross stitch kit - through a magazine (that was 'White Magic' who will be appearing shortly on my 'Previous Projects, Part 3' post).
....and now this!
I would like to thank the Administrators of the Crazy About Cross Stitch group on Facebook.
Tess Fowler for creating such a brilliant design in the first place.
And, the amazing Sarah Paine for doing such a brilliant job converting it to cross stitch.
Imagine me doing a courteous bow a la Mr. Darcy and you will see my gratitude!
Congratulations! Esther is the greatest. I love your choice, this one is one of my faves!
ReplyDeleteShe is indeed Kathy!
DeleteI'm so glad you got what you wanted Neil!! And thank you for your compliment, Kathy. :)
ReplyDeleteThank YOU!
DeleteGreat choice of pattern! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree Margie! Sarah has a lot of amazing designs on her site, but this one has always been in my mind. My partner isn't a fan (sorry Sarah) but, I finally didn't care! :-)
